CAMP FOSTER, OKINAWA, Japan – Sgt. Nelson Sigrah recites the Oath of Allegiance during the naturalization ceremony May 17 hosted at the Ocean Breeze aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The Oath of Allegiance is a declaration from the new citizen that they will renounce all other allegiances and be true to the United States of America. The oath reinforces the Marine’s Oath of Enlistment to defend and uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States. Sigrah is a warehouse chief with Headquarters Regiment, 3rd Marine Logistics Group. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Pfc. Kelcey Seymour)
