Command Sgt. Maj. Walter Tagalicud, I Corps Command Sergeant Major, speaks during the closing ceremony for America's First Corps' #Best Warrior Competition, May 17, 2018. The event, held in front of I Corps Headquarters, is to recognize the accomplishments of the competitors in this year's competition held May 14-17 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Washington. The four-day competition is designed to determine the best Soldier, noncommissioned officer, first sergeant, warrant officer, and junior officer from I Corps. Participants come from across I Corps and come from an assortment of specialties. All of them, to include competitors from the 201st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade, completed multiple ruck marches daily, day and night navigation courses, weapons qualification, an obstacle course, a medical skills competition, and a stress shoot among other events.
