The legacy of 23 Green Berets were honored by 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) during a memorial ceremony held at the 7th SFG(A) compound, May 24, 2018. The ceremony took place as a part of an annual celebration of the lives lived, sacrifices made and the legacies left by the men and ‘Gold Star’ families represented in the rock garden and 7th SFG(A)-wide. The individual memorials, some adorned with flowers and greeting cards, are all marked by an American flag at half-mast and an inscribed stone, each honoring a 1st BN Green Beret who made the ultimate sacrifice.
