Carlos Toromedina, a flight equipment operator with Marine Air Logistics Squadron-40, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), and a native of Springfield, Mass., during a practical application exercise in the combat lifesaver course, Aug. 9 at Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province. The course, which took place Aug. 8-10, taught Marines, sailors, soldiers and airmen advanced techniques for providing aid to battlefield casualties.
