Service members practice applying splints to one another during a combat lifesaver course at Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Aug. 9. The course, which took place Aug. 8-10, taught Marines, sailors, soldiers and airmen advanced techniques for providing aid to battlefield casualties.
