First Lt. Ryan P. Raftery is the supply officer for Marine Air Control Group 28, deployed out of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C. Raftery, a native of Alexandria, Va., is currently deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. Raftery said serving in Afghanistan on the anniversary of 9/11 is a humbling honor and privilege for him.
