Members of the 143rd Airborne Infantry Regiment from the Texas National Guard, attached to the 173rd Airborne Brigade based out of Vicenza, Italy, conducted an Airborne insertion exercise with members of the Israeli Defense Forces and the Italian Armed Forces . Exercise Swift Response 18 is an annual U.S. Army Europe-led multinational exercise being held in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Swift Response 18 provides a vital joint and multinational training opportunity that allows command and control of complex operations from dispersed locations while ensuring that participating forces work together seamlessly to bring the full weight of the joint and combined team to bear – wherever and whenever needed – to defend against regional aggression (Michigan National Guard photo by Cpl.
