Soldiers assigned to the 143rd Airborne Infantry Regiment from the Texas National Guard, attached to the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team based out of Vicenza, Italy, conduct an Airborne insertion exercise with soldiers of the Israeli Defense Forces and the Italian Armed Forces, on Miroslawiec Airfield, Poland, June 8, 2018, for Swift Response 18. Exercise Swift Response 18 in an annual U.S. Army Europe-led multinational exercise being held in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Swift Response provides a vital joint and multinational training opportunity that allows command and control of complex operations from dispersed locations while ensuring that participating forces work together seamlessly to bring the full weight of the joint and combined team to bear – wherever and whenever needed.
