QUANTICO, Va. - Laura Patrizii listens to retired Lt. Col. Joseph Shusko teach warrior ethics during Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s 2018 Educators and Key Leaders wWorkshop aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, June 20. The workshop establishes mutually beneficial relationships between Marine officer selection officers and educators; community leaders and educators experience an all-expense-paid trip to Quantico in efforts to develop their leadership skills and learn about career opportunities in the Marine Corps. Shusko is the director of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Center of Excellence. Patrizii is an interim director of career services at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
