Catherine Grush, the Pacific Angel (PAC ANGEL) 18-1 mission commander, talks with Timorese journalists during the engagement’s media day in Suai, Cova Lima Municipality, Southwest Timor-Leste, June 14, 2018. The media day gave journalists an opportunity to experience the health services outreach and engineering sites first-hand as well as watch rice being airdroped for a local orphanage. Engagements like PAC ANGELs enable the U.S. military to strengthen its relationships with other nations’ militaries through mutually beneficial activities such as subject-matter expert exchanges, host nation visits, multilateral engagements and exercises.
