Cargo drops from a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter over a zone here Sept. 9. An aerial delivery team from Combat Logistics Battalion 11 coordinated the drop with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 268 (Reinforced) to support humanitarian-assistance training. The battalion provides logistics and services to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and the squadron is unit’s aviation combat element. The MEU began a sea-based exercise Sept. 1, its second aboard amphibious ships since becoming a complete Marine air-ground task force in May.
