A C-130 transport aircraft air drops container delivery systems with water cargo here Sept. 9. Marines with Aerial Delivery Team, Landing Support Detachment, Combat Logistics Battalion 11 conducted a live air delivery in support of a humanitarian assistance operation exercise. The team provides an expeditionary means of resupply in high risk environments where vehicle supply lines cannot reach and aerial landing is not possible. The battalion is the logistics combat element for the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, which began a sea-based exercise Sept. 1, its second aboard amphibious ships since becoming a complete Marine air-ground task force in May. The unit coordinated the delivery with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 352.
