Morning breaks over Camp Virginia, Kuwait on Sept. 11, ten years after the peaceful innocence of an American morning was broken by terrorist attacks. Soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry “Red Bulls” Division, 1st Combined Arms Battalion 194th Armor prepare to honor and remember those who perished while receiving their shoulder sleeve insignia of former wartime service, commonly referred to as a “combat patch.” The 1-194 AR (CAB) is headquartered in Brainerd, Minn., and comprised of soldiers from across the state of Minnesota deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation New Dawn, the final stage in post-combat operations in Iraq.
