Capt. Jon Anderson, commander of St. Paul, Minn., based Bravo Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion 194th Armor, awards a combat patch on Sept. 11 to Pfc. Joseph Arens, a systems information specialist from Pequot Lakes, Minn. September 11th was chosen to award combat patches in order to honor and remember those who perished ten years ago when the peaceful innocence of an American morning was broken by terrorist attacks. The 1-194 AR (CAB) is part of the Minnesota based 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry “Red Bull” Division, deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation New Dawn, the final stage in post-combat operations in Iraq.
