Sailors on the Navy Boat Docks at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., attach a chain to a new hurricane buoy on the air station, July 10, 2018. The chains are anchored to the river bed to keep the buoys from floating away during a storm. The buoys are used during severe weather to secure naval vessels in open water to prevent the boats from being damaged during a storm. Afterward, the undamaged boats can be used to conduct recovery operations on and near the air station. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Morgan D. Collett)
