Soldiers from the New York Army National Guard, 42nd Infantry Division visit the Musarde Farm for a picnic on July 25, 2018. On October 14, 1918 the 42nd Division's 167th Infantry Regiment fought for this terrain as part of an assault on a German defensive position called the Krimhelde Stellung during World War 1. Twenty-five members of the New York Army National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division, which is headquartered in Troy, headed to France on Monday, July 23 to take part in a week of World War I commemorative activities.
