Air Force 1st Lt. Allen Deneve, engineer, Air Force Research Laboratory, drops an 81 mm mortar at a range on Camp Pendleton, Calif., Sept. 13. Deneve came here with a group of people associated with the Indirect Fire and Munitions Non-lethal Program to gather information about the 81 mm mortar system and how Marines employ it. The information will be used in his research and design of a new nonlethal round that could possibly use the 81 mm mortar delivery system.
