The Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. James Amos, and the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Miachael Barrett, practice their lines prior to shooting a segment of the Marine Corps birthday message here, Sept. 22. Amos also addressed the Marines and sailors of 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, answered their questions and awarded three with medals for valor. Amos spoke to the Marines and sailors of 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, presented three awards and recorded a portion of his Marine Corps birthday message while at Camp Hanson. The visit by Amos and Barrett was part of their battlefield circulation of forward operating bases in southern Helmand.
