U.S. Navy Seabees with Construction Diving Detachment Charlie (CDDC) from Underwater Construction Team 2, coordinate with a crane and tug boat on July 20, 2018 to deploy a new fleet mooring buoy into the water off Wake Island. CDDC completed emergent repairs to Wake Island's off-shore fuel delivery system after heavy seas disconnected one of the fleet mooring buoys. CDDC is on the first stop of their six month deployment where they are providing construction, inspection, repair, and maintenance of coastal and ocean facilities in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet.
