Garrison staff members, contractors and housing officials watch as Col. Hollie J. Martin, garrison commander, takes a ceremonial turn at demolishing a housing unit using an excavator in the Jefferson Terrace neighborhood Aug. 15. Thirty-four housing units will be demolished to make room for 34 new quarters designated for officers. The construction is scheduled to be completed by September of 2019.
