The Air Force Cycling Team (AFCT) mission of assisting and helping downed civilian riders, but extends to the team itself. Alex Duarte (L) and Trey Munn (R) work on a teammate’s wheel one morning before heading out for the days’ route. Alex had worked on 2 other bikes just prior to this and ended up fixing all of them. Just outside of camp, teammates were helping with a vehicular accident were a lady rear-ended another vehicle. The AFCT has been in existence for the past 24 years with its mission for Registers Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) evolving into the “Guardian Angels of The Road”.
