(Aug. 21, 2018) Greg Fischer, the mayor of Louisville, Ky., chats with Sailors assigned to the Blue crew of the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Kentucky (SSBN 737) and the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) following the mayor’s proclamation of Louisville Navy Week. The Navy Office of Community Outreach uses the Navy Week program to bring Navy Sailors, equipment and displays to approximately 14 American cities each year for a week-long schedule of outreach engagements designed for Americans to experience firsthand how the U.S. Navy is the Navy the nation needs.
