Aircraft from the 1st Special Operations Wing, Hurburt Field, Florida, performed a flyover above the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia, honoring U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. John Chapman, a Special Tactics combat controller, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary heroism during the Battle of Takur Ghar in March 2002 while deployed to Afghanistan.
