Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit ride a rigid-hull inflatable boat while transferring from the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island to the amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans, Oct. 4. The unit embarked New Orleans, Makin Island, and the dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor, Sept. 28 for their final exercise before deploying in November.
