A rigid-hull inflatable boat returns to the amphibious assault ship USS Makin island after transferring Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit to the amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans, Oct. 4. The unit embarked the New Orleans, Makin Island, and the dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor, Sept. 28 for their final exercise before deploying in November.
