U.S. Army Gen. Joseph L. Votel, Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), stands with U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Joseph T. Guastella entered the Air Force in 1987 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has flown the F-16 Fighting Falcon and A-10 Thunderbolt II, served as the wing commander of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, has had multiple combat tours and instructed at the U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons School.
