U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 12, 2018) An Indian navy officer gives a bridge tour aboard the Indian navy frigate Teg (F 45) to U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) during a Combined Maritime Forces coordinated officer exchange and shipboard visit to discuss naval interoperability. Jason Dunham is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
