Tishomingo, Okla., native Sgt. Carl Brown, a field radio operator with 1st Battalion, 12 Marine Regiment, is also the current operations chief for the patrol base. Brown said he can’t wait to be back with this nieces and nephews, girlfriend, brothers and sister after his deployment. He enjoys being home and the slow pace of small-town living. The 25-year-old said the Marines of the patrol base are doing a great job.
