Lt. Col. Charles J. Masaracchia (right), commander of 1st Battalion 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division is signing over equipment needed to build a forward area refueling point to Col. Salam al Kbaisi, air consulate, Anbar Operations Center, on an outpost in Al-Anbar, Iraq, on Oct. 10. Troopers with 2/82 have trained Iraqi soldiers how to build, run and maintain a FARP capable of supporting aircraft. With the FARP constructed and fully functional the ISF are now capable of operations throughout the remote portions of western al-Anbar province.
