Troops participating in the Mortuary Affairs Exercise tested their chemical protective masks the hard way Aug. 17, 2018 at Fort Pickett, Va. The chamber, which was filled with tear gas, demonstrates the effectiveness of protective equipment to Soldiers and then shows them what exposure feels like when they take off the masks. Units participating included the 673rd, 246th, 387th and 1019th Quartermaster Companies. The 642nd Regional Support Group oversaw the exercise and had their own Soldiers go through as well.
