Paratroopers from the 307th Engineer Battalion run the last leg before throwing the boat upon their heads into Kiest Lake as they compete against other teams in the annual Waal River Crossing competition on the Fort Bragg training grounds Oct. 19. The Waal River Crossing competition is used to help remember and commemorate those soldiers who participated in the actual crossing back in World War II.
