Paratroopers from the 307th Engineer Battalion pull ashore their boat after completing all five legs of the race during the annual Waal River Crossing competition at Kiest Lake on the Fort Bragg training grounds Oct. 19. The Waal River Crossing competition is used to help remember and commemorate those soldiers who participated in the actual crossing back in World War II.
