U.S. Army Sgt. Thomas David Bowcutt, a medic with the Bassett Army Community Hospital at U.S. Army Alaska at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, carries a simulated casualty to an evacuation point during the testing week of the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB), on Schofield Barracks Sept. 19, 2018, hosted by 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. This is Bowcutt’s fourth time competing for the badge. “I want it,” said Bowcutt. “I love a good challenge and I am earning this badge, period.” Bowcutt hopes to bring the badge home for his wife and three kids back home in Alaska.
