Decommissioned Soviet Union vehicles are staged around Lest Training Center, Slovakia Sept 23, 2018 to help create a realistic, urban training environment. Members from the Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, and U.S military, to include both active component and the Indiana National Guard units, made up the training audience for the war fighting exercise, Slovak Shield 2018 at the Lest Training Center. This staff exercise, a simulated invasion scenario into Slovakia from opposing forces, evaluated how these five specific NATO allies react operationally together to counteract and defeat the opposition.
