The Sri Krishnan Temple lies along Waterloo Street on the island nation of Singapore, Oct. 6, 2018. Singapore is a favorite destination for U.S. Marines and Sailors – the city, an international hub of nationalities and traditions, hosts a wide variety of entertainment districts, shopping centers, markets and attractions for visiting Marines and Sailors to immerse themselves in the history and culture of the “Lion City.” Marines and Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit arrived in Singapore aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) October 2 for a port visit after more than a month at sea during a regularly-scheduled patrol of the Indo-Pacific region. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide-range of military operations. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Gunnery Sgt. T. T.
