Cpl. Nathaniel Casey, a supply administration Marine with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, stands at the aft end of the flight deck aboard the USS Wasp (LHD 1) as the ship departs the island nation of Singapore, Oct. 7, 2018. Casey, a native of Alton, Illinois, graduated from Alton High School in May 2016 before enlisting in the Marine Corps in July of the same year. Marines and Sailors with the 31st MEU arrived in Singapore aboard the Wasp October 2 for a port visit after more than a month at sea during a regularly-scheduled patrol of the Indo-Pacific region.
