Captain Lee Duckworth, USN, Retired, speaks to members of Carrier Strike Group Twelve during a historical presentation about the US Navy’s 243rd Birthday. Duckworth was Naval Station Norfolk’s 47th Commanding Officer. He previously served as the Executive Officer of the USS Tripoli (LPH-10) during the first Gulf War, and was previously the Education Director at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. He remains active in the community, and continues to volunteer. The presentation was coordinated by the Naval Station Norfolk’s First Class Petty Officers Association.
