U.S. Army soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, Bravo Battery, 2-1 Cavalry Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, provide security for troops in an abandoned hotel as they make there way to the top of the old building to provide overwatch in Samarra, Iraq, Oct. 9, 2011. The soldiers are in Samarra to check on the recent progress of the rebuilding of the Al Asakara Mosque. First Cavalry Division is in Iraq in Support of Operation New Dawn.
