An A-10 Thunderbolt II assigned to Moody Air Force Base, Ga.,, taxis to a parking spot after landing at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. as a C-130J from the 19th Airlift Wing takes off, Oct. 9, 2018. Aircraft and personnel were evacuated as a precaution to protect them from Hurricane Michael. The A-10, commonly referred to as the Warthog, has excellent maneuverability at low air speeds and altitude, and is a highly accurate and survivable weapons-delivery platform. The aircraft can loiter near battle areas for extended periods of time and operate in low ceiling and visibility conditions. The wide combat radius and short takeoff and landing capability permit operations in and out of locations near front lines. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jeremy McGuffin)
