The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is prepared and ready to respond to natural and human-made disasters and overseas contingencies. USACE teams and other resources are mobilized from across the country to assist USACE districts and offices in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama to deliver our response missions following Hurricane Michael. The Savannah District Emergency Temporary Power Planning and Response Team and 249th Engineer Battalion are doing assessments and accepting delivery of generators at the Incident Support Base at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Ga. The emergency generators will be installed at critical public facilities to provide temporary power. (U.S. Army photo by Chris Gardner)
