FORT MCCOY, Wis. (October 13, 2018) Navy Operational Support Center - Madison Sailors prepare to use the HMMWV Egress Assistance Trainer (HEAT), at U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy during Mobilization Exercise (MOBEX) 2018. The HEAT trainer allows many of the Sailors to experience a simulated vehicle rollover and practice proper egress techniques for the first time. A team of eight NOSC Sailors earned their HEAT Instructor certifications earlier in the day.
NOSC - Madison holds MOBEX each year to provide Sailors a change-of-pace from a regular drill weekend and help ensure each one is familiar with the weapons and equipment required for them to mobilize downrange.
