Maj. (Dr.) Mary Alice Noel answers a cadet’s question at the West Point Medical Society on Oct. 18. Noel, and Lt. Col. (Dr.) Benjamin Palmer, are Army physicians who presented information and answered questions from the more than 50 cadets on the process of getting into medical school and the two key scholarship programs available to them. Noel is from the Family Medicine Residence Faculty at Fort Benning, Georgia, and Palmer is the command surgeon for the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The scholarship programs are the Health Professions Scholarship Program, used by Palmer, and attending the Uniform Services University of the Health Sciences, in Bethesda, Maryland, used by Noel.
