A Finnish soldier are talking to Swedish soldiers during a short break during a exercise. The Finnish soldier is a conscript and the Swedish soldiers are professional soldiers. All of them are part of the Swedish- Finnish battalion that are taking part in the NATO exercise Trident Juncture 18.
Trident Juncture 2018 is NATO’s largest exercise in many years, bringing together around 50,000 personnel from all 29 Allies, plus partners Finland and Sweden. Around 65 vessels, 250 aircraft and 10,000 vehicles will participate.
