U.S. Army Pfc. Craig Lewis (background), 19, fires his M-240B machine gun from a UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter in eastern Afghanistan. U.S. Army Spc. Jared Yoakam, 26, is training Lewis to become a Black Hawk crew chief; a position that makes him responsible for the daily operation and safety of the nearly $6 million machine and its passengers. Aerial marksmanship is just one of many tasks Lewis will have to master before he earns his qualification.
