PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 23, 2018) Sailors maintain positive control of a MK-46 Mod 5A(S) torpedo as Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Jacob Crowe, from Church Hill, Tennessee, places an air slug canister into a torpedo tube while performing maintenance on the torpedo launch system aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111). Spruance is currently conducting routine operations as part of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3, in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
