PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 24, 2018) Quartermaster 3rd Class Vhlake Abangan, from Temecula, California, records a gyro error on the compass of a telescopic alidade after shooting an azimuth on the bridge wing of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111). Spruance is currently conducting routine operations as part of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3 in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
