Phil K. Barretto, center-right, Aiea, Hawaii native, 2ID/RUCD sergeant major; Brig. Gen. Kim, right side, deputy commanding general-ROK, 2ID/RUCD; Col. (retired) William M. Alexander, far-right, Barnesville, Georgia native, 2nd Infantry Division Museum director; Command Sgt. Maj. Jason Schmidt, right-center, Eighth Army sergeant major; Mr. Jung Jang Sun, left, mayor of Pyeongtaek; Col. Scott Mueller, left-center, commander, U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys; and Brig. Gen. Patrick J. Donahoe, far-left, incoming deputy commanding general-operations, Eighth Army, cut the ceremonial ribbon during the dedication ceremony to officially open the new headquarters, Freeman Hall Nov. 20, in honor of Gen. Paul Freeman, former commander of 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Inf. Div. during the Korean War. The 2ID/RUCD ribbon-cutting ceremony was the final major step to conclude the Warrior Division’s long-term transition from Camp Red Cloud to Camp Humphreys.
