CAMP HUMPHREYS, Republic of Korea – Maj. Gen. D. Scott McKean, San Jose, California native, commanding general, 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division and Command Sgt. Maj. Phil K. Barretto, Aiea, Hawaii native, 2ID/RUCD sergeant major, reveal the Freeman Hall plaque during the dedication ceremony to officially name the new headquarters building as Freeman Hall Nov. 20, in honor of Gen. Paul Freeman, former commander of the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Inf. Div. during the Korean War. The parade field was dedicated in honor of Maj. Gen. Walter Robertson, former 2ID commander throughout WWII. The 2ID/RUCD ribbon-cutting ceremony was the final major step to conclude the Warrior Division’s long-term transition from Camp Red Cloud to Camp Humphreys.
