A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contracted hopper dredge vessel uses a ship-to-shore pipeline to pump sand onto Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sept. 22, 2018, following Hurricane Florence. The work is being done as part of a beach renourishment project to help rehabilitate the shoreline and mitigate the risk of storm-related damage to nearby coastal communities and infrastructure.
