PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 18, 2018) Sailors maintain positive control of a MK 46 Mod 5A(S) torpedo as an air slug is fired during maintenance on the launch system aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111). Spruance is underway and conducting routine operations as part of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3 in the U.S. Pacific Fleet area of operations.
